Ingredients
- 1 cup dry pasta
- 2 cups broccoli, chopped
- 1/2 cup dates, pitted and chopped
- 1 cup cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 cup white flour
- 1 cup 2% milk
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cook pasta according to package instructions on the stove.
While pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add broccoli and cook until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
In the blender, combine the cooked broccoli, dates, cream, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Blend until smooth.
In the same skillet used for the broccoli, whisk together the white flour and milk over medium heat until it thickens.
Add the broccoli-date sauce to the skillet with the milk and flour. Stir to combine.
Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the skillet. Stir until pasta is fully coated with the sauce.
Transfer the pasta into an oven-safe dish and bake for 15-20 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly.
Serve hot and enjoy your creamy broccoli and date pasta.
