Ingredients

  • 8 oz dry spaghetti pasta
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 lb cod, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/2 lb prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika powder
  • 1/2 tsp table salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 cups tomato pasta sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup coriander, chopped

Directions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil on the stove. Cook the dry spaghetti pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

While the pasta is cooking, heat the cooking oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Season the cod pieces and prawns with smoked paprika powder, table salt, and ground black pepper.

Add the seasoned cod pieces to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally, until the cod is lightly browned and cooked through. Remove the cod from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the prawns and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are pink and opaque. Remove the prawns from the skillet and set aside with the cod.

Reduce the heat to medium and add the tomato pasta sauce to the skillet. Simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Return the cooked cod and prawns to the skillet, gently stirring to coat them in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.

Reduce the heat to low and add the butter to the sauce, stirring until it melts and combines with the sauce.

Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta with the sauce and to thoroughly combine all ingredients.

Remove the skillet from the heat and sprinkle the chopped coriander over the pasta.

Serve the Smoked Paprika Cod and Prawn Spaghetti immediately, garnished with additional coriander if desired.
