Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp table salt
- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In the bowl of the stand mixer, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then, beat in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and table salt.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
Stir in the rolled oats and semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire cooling rack to cool completely.
